Workshop on BIM and public procurement - friends or foes?
This workshop will present legal uncertainties that both public buyers and tenderers face when dealing with a construction project with a BIM component.
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a reality and it´s finally digitalizing the construction sector.
BIM is a disruptive digital tool that provides all the stakeholders of a construction project with a digital representation of a building’s characteristics in its whole lifecycle, thereby holding out the promise of large efficiency gains.
The workshop will help to:

- Understand the compatibility between the BIM technology and the procurement legislation.
- Understand the legal challenges of drafting tender documentations for projects with BIM components and understand how to comply with the requirements under such documentation.
